How to Become a Notary Public in Idaho

Idaho Notary Requirements:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old

  • Residency: Resident or have a place of employment or place of practice in Idaho

  • Bond Required: $10,000 for the 6-year commission term

  • Application Fee: $30

  • Must be able to read and write English. Not be disqualified pursuant to Idaho Code §51-123

Step by Step instructions on how to become an Idaho Notary.

1. Purchase a $10,000 Notary Bond and any supplies you will need such as a stamp/embosser, journal and recommended online notary training.

2. After the application process is complete you will be commissioned as a notary.
