How to Become a Notary Public in Arizona

Arizona Notary requirements:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old – Must be able to read and write English. Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.

  • Residency: Be an Arizona Resident
  • Bond Required: $5K for the 4-year commission term

  • Application Fee: $43
  • Must not have a conviction for a felony unless civil rights have been restored, or a conviction of a lesser offense involving moral turpitude or of a nature that is incompatible with the duties of a notary public.

Step by Step instructions on how to become an Arizona Notary.

1. Purchase a $5K Notary Bond, application, training, and any supplies you will need such as a stamp/embosser, journal and recommended online notary training.

2. After the application process is complete you will be commissioned as a notary.
